The English Learners Success Forum (ELSF) seeks a skilled project manager to fill the Manager position for the Dual Language/Bilingual Strategy. This role will primarily support the Advisor in developing and implementing a strategy for high-quality instructional materials in dual language/bilingual settings. We are looking for someone with strong project management skills who has experience interacting with key stakeholders, including experts, practitioners and internal staff.

Position Title: Project Manager, Dual Language/Bilingual Strategy
Reports to: Dual Language/Bilingual National Advisor
Status: Full-time, one year temporary with possibility of permanent
Location: Remote

Responsibilities and Tasks

The Project Manager, Dual Language/Bilingual Strategy will execute on the following areas of work. This is not meant to be an exhaustive list but outlines the major responsibilities of the role:

Project Management

  • Provide strategic planning and project support to the Advisor with the goal of achieving all project milestones and deliverables.
  • Support the development of a clear charge statement and recruitment plan for a national Advisory Council and manage logistics for regular meetings and communications with members.
  • Ensure high levels of satisfaction and engagement with the Advisory Council in order to have an effective guiding coalition for the Dual Language/Bilingual strategy.
  • Support the planning, implementation and evaluation of pilot projects with content developer (curriculum publishers) and other organizations 
  • Craft scopes of work in collaboration with other ELSF Managers and Directors.
  • Manage preparation for meetings including coordinating calls, identifying participants,, and creating an agenda and any presentation materials.
  • Take ownership of follow-up after meetings to ensure timely completion
  • Develop, manage, and maintain  the project schedule, ensuring resolution of any issues, escalating any issues to the Advisor when appropriate, and following up on relevant information.
  • Anticipate future challenges and risks and through collaboration with the Advisor, come up with strategies to address and mitigate them.
  • Determines timelines, deliverables, communication protocols and roles.
  • Lead after-action reviews and continuous improvement efforts as it relates to the implementation of the project plan.
  • May support CSO and Directors with additional projects as needed.

Impact and Goals

  • Plan for data collection and reporting by ensuring impact indicators are in place to gauge the effectiveness of projects.
  • Work with the Advisor in ensuring organizational goals are met including tracking and gathering necessary information.
  • Monitor and report key metrics for quarterly reporting on goals. 
  • Identifying priority areas quarterly to move the work forward to achieve the intended milestones.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Ability   

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management
  • Proven ability to think analytically, strategically, and with agility to translate ideas and insights into action through coherent and viable project work
  • Extensive experience managing and coordinating teams for a collection of multiple independent projects, with colleagues of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Experience with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of innovative pilot projects.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience working with a range of individuals in nonprofit organizations, government, foundations, and private sectors.
  • Superior interpersonal, customer service skills, and partner-facing communication skills.
  • Knowledge and use of technology, digital communications platforms such as Google Apps and project management software.
  • Commitment to ELSF’s mission, vision, core values, theory of change, and unique positioning in the field.

Salary range

$63,360 - 95,040 annually. Salary is based on experience and in order to ensure equity within the organization, ELSF does not negotiate salary. Candidates can typically expect a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint. In addition, ELSF offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance; paid holidays; vacation and sick leave; and a wellness reimbursement benefit.
