This case study is an example of how a fictional district in California prepared for and conducted a core mathematics materials review and adoption process that was inclusive of multilingual learners. It highlights details and decisions in the adoption process to illustrate what actions can be taken to ensure the inclusion of multilingual learners. The case study outlines how Santa Juana Unified School District walked through each step of the materials adoption process described below.
