Rebecca Castellanos discovered her love of teaching while volunteering to teach English as a Second Language to adults. After college, she pursued a career instructing elementary bilingual learners in Denver Public Schools. Later on, she obtained a Masters in Linguistically and Culturally Diverse Education where she deepened her knowledge and love for teaching language and content. After the classroom, Rebecca spent several years supporting teachers as a Peer Observer, evaluating teachers, and providing coaching and feedback. She currently has the job of her dreams creating professional development, curricular resources, and guidance around best practices for instructing English learners as the Manager of Multilingual Pathways in the central office of Denver Public Schools. When Rebecca is not working, she enjoys cooking foods from around the world, reading both professional and non-professional books, and chasing after her two kids.
