Director, State and District Engagements

As Director of State and District Engagements at ELSF, Nithya partners with education leaders to support the adoption and effective implementation of rigorous, high-quality K–12 instructional materials that serve all learners.

Nithya began her career as a high school science educator for nine years, serving in public schools in New York City and San Francisco as well as in international bilingual immersion settings in Guangzhou, China, and Quito, Ecuador. She later transitioned to working as a curriculum development consultant and coach, including teaching and advising early-career STEM educators at UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Education.

Most recently, Nithya served as a Consulting Partner at TNTP, where she collaborated with education leaders nationwide to strengthen materials implementation across content areas, foster inclusive STEM instructional practice, and develop meaningful career-connected learning pathways and programs of study.

Nithya holds a Master of Education from Pace University, a Master of Fine Arts from San Francisco State University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Bryn Mawr College. She is the proud daughter of South Asian immigrants and currently resides in Washington, DC, with her family.
