Marie-Alix Emmanuel

Marie-Alix Emmanuel, worked in education for a total of 35years, where she took on increasing positions of leadership – starting as a 4th and 5th grade bilingual teacher, then an ESL teacher, totalling to 16 years. Then she went on to become a staff developer, then an administrator in pre-K to 8th grade schools for 14 years. She joined NYU in the summer of 2015, as a Resource Specialist where she teamed up with colleagues to impart her knowledge of Math with many NYC teachers in elementary and middle school. She brings with her myriads of experiences in Haitian bilingual education, English as a Second Language, special education supervisor, early childhood education and middle school education. Ms. Emmanuel graduated and has earned a BS, from City College of NY, an MS from Queens College of NY and a PD from St John’s University. She also studied Homeland Security at Long Island University.
