Ana Greenwood

Elementary Instructional Coach, Los Fresnos Consolidated School District

Ana Maria Greenwood is an Elementary Instructional Coach with the Los Fresnos Consolidated School District. As an Instructional Coach, she serves as a mentor for new teachers and works closely with administrative teams to provide campus and district professional development, instructional support, and best teaching practices for teachers and staff. Ana is a Level 2 Google Certified teacher and an Apple teacher who organizes and conducts professional development sessions for New Teacher Academies, curriculum guides, student engagement strategies, assessment tools, Virtual Learning, Edtech tools, and Google Classroom. She is innovative, passionate, and a lifelong learner. With ten years of experience in bilingual education, she promotes student voice, collaboration, critical thinking, and student-driven learning. As a classroom teacher, she was named Campus and District “Teacher of the Year” on three occasions. Ana was a semifinalist for TNTP's Fishman Prize, and won the Raise Your Hand Texas Raising Blended Learners initiative. Ana has a Masters in Educational Leadership and completed the Principal Certification program from the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley. Because she grew up as an English Learner, she believes that with the right tools and support, all students can learn and be successful. Her ultimate goal is to meet students’ needs, provide them with resources to enhance their learning, and ensure that they enjoy learning and attending school every day.
