Patricia is the Chief of Staff for ELSF where she supports the organization to reach its strategic vision of successful outcomes for English Learners. Most recently, Patricia served as Chief of Staff for Opportunity 180 where she drove operations, investments, and policy strategies anchored to a vision of high-quality academic outcomes for every kid in Nevada. Patricia has also worked with the Nevada Institute for Children’s Research & Policy and the Beverly Rogers, Carol C. Harter Black Mountain Institute. She can also be found on the masthead of a few issues of Believer Magazine.
Patricia finds joy in community organizing as a leader with the Downtown Las Vegas Neighborhood Coalition and as a board member of Nevadans for the Common Good. Patricia is also board chair of the Parent Leadership Team of Nevada, an organization of primarily Latinx families focused on ensuring their students have access to the resources they need to be successful in school and beyond. A proud first-generation college graduate, Patricia holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Special Education with an emphasis on children with emotional/behavioral disorders from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Outside of work and volunteering, Patricia can be found doing yoga, watching live music, and hanging out with her rescue dog, Thomas.
